I'm sitting here editing photos from a recent wedding I shot and I need to take a break and acknowledge something strange that happens every time I edit wedding reception photos. It doesn't matter what's going on around me, who's talking to me, what music is playing in the background. It happens every time.
Either the song "Unforgettable" - the duet version with Nat King Cole and Natalie Cole - or "Just the Way You Look Tonight" starts playing over and over in my head. I guess because I've shot so many weddings where people dance to that for either their first dance or dance with their dad, that my brain just associates first dances with those songs.
Isn't it crazy how our brains work? Do you have a soundtrack that plays in your head when you do something specific?
